The Position:
We are looking for a dependable individual with great attention to detail to join our management team as a Supervisor in our Valdese, NC location. The ideal candidate will accomplish department objectives by supervising staff and organizing, monitoring and completing work processes. Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees and developing personal growth opportunities. Accomplishes staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
This individual will:
- Hands on supervision.
- Plans, monitors, and appraises job results.
- Conduct training.
- Implements and enforces systems, policies, and procedures.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by enforcing organization standards and adhering to legal regulations.
- Completes operations by developing schedules, assigning and monitoring work, gathering resources, implementing productivity standards, resolving operations problems, maintaining reference manuals, and implementing new procedures.
- Controls department supply inventory levels by gathering and submitting weekly purchase orders, monitoring delivery, and implementing corrective actions.
- Provides quality assurance by enforcing quality control standards.
- Complete approvals for daily attendance reports, and piecework tickets.
- Supports piecework employees through problem solving and expediting repairs.
- Use proper PPE — safety glasses, ear plugs, and gloves.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices to prevent slips, trips and falls.
- Responsible for preventative maintenance on machines in the department.
- and staple gun, apply posts using screw gun, and lower frame onto ground.
Candidates that will be a great fit will:
- Able to perform repetitive tasks such as bend, lift, twist, kneel and reach.
- Able to stand and walk for 80% of shift.
- Forklift certification required, will train in house.
- Furniture and past leadership experience are required.

Shift: Mon-Thu 6:30am-4:00pm and Fri 6:30am-10:30am
Pay: Dependent upon experience
