Job summary

Novax Recruitment Group in New York is seeking a Fabrication & Assembly Supervisor to lead teams across fabrication, fitting, welding and assembly on the shop floor. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving production while upholding strict safety, quality and output standards.

You will manage day-to-day execution, allocate labour, coordinate with planning and quality teams, and train shop-floor staff.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience within a structural steel or heavy fabrication environment.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of fabrication, fitting, welding and assembly processes.
• Experience leading shop-floor production teams and coordinating daily workloads.
• A good understanding of workplace safety and quality requirements within a fabrication shop.
• Ability to manage employee performance, attendance and day-to-day production priorities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with planning and quality teams.
• Comfortable taking ownership of shift performance and resolving production issues as they arise.

Fabrication & Assembly Supervisor – Structural Steel

An established heavy steel fabrication business is expanding its operations and looking to appoint an experienced Fabrication & Assembly Supervisor to lead teams across fabrication, fitting, welding and assembly.

This is a hands-on shop-floor leadership position for someone who understands steel fabrication and knows how to drive production while maintaining high standards across safety, quality and output.

The Role

You'll take responsibility for the day-to-day execution of your area of the fabrication shop, ensuring people, production and priorities remain aligned throughout the shift.
