Supervisor
Responsibilities
- Supervisors report directly to the department head.
- Must be able to organize their own work, schedule work for the workers they supervise, solve complex technical and production problems, and manage personnel problems – all within minimum supervision.
- The job requires an intimate understanding of the total product picture and the department's contribution to the product line. Supervisors must seek responsibility on their own initiative, ferret out potential problems, and solve them before they seriously affect the product.
- Must acquire personal responsibility for interfacing with all people in the company who are directly or indirectly involved in the operation of their department.
- Implement security protocols. Analyzing production data to identify bottlenecks, improvements, and support lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promotion to Supervisor from within the company is strongly encouraged and is based on past performance and willingness to seek responsibility, general enthusiasm for the work, and creative initiative as evidenced by an expressed desire to learn on and off the job.
- Follow all Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety Standards.
- Perform all other duties assigned.
Requirements
- High School Degree or GED or work experience.
- Supervisory experience.
- Able to work well with all levels of management.
Rate: $50+ annually
