Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Supervisor to oversee daily field operations, drive performance, and ensure client satisfaction across multiple teams and projects. This position plays a key role in managing frontline leadership, monitoring team output, coordinating with customers, and maintaining compliance with company and contractual standards.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, along with a strong understanding of operational execution, performance management, and customer service.

- Management Responsibility: $3.0 - $8.0 million Annual Revenue
- Direct Supervisory: 3-4 General Forepersons

Essential Functions
Customer Relations & Communication
- Meet regularly with client representatives to discuss project status, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Serve as a company representative at client meetings as assigned by leadership.
- Participate in sales calls and site visits to maintain and grow client relationships.
Contract Oversight & Compliance
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all contracts, subcontracts, and related specifications.
- Ensure full compliance with customer terms, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations.
- Communicate effectively with corporate departments to relay field needs and updates.
Team Leadership & Human Resources
- Supervise and support General Forepersons through regular site visits and team meetings.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, performance documentation, and employee separations in partnership with General Forepersons.
- Establish clear goals and accountabilities for direct reports, aligning with company objectives.
- Promote professional development and training opportunities for team members.
- Enforce and model adherence to company policies and HR procedures.
Operations Planning & Field Scheduling
- Monitor and inspect work progress, identifying and resolving operational challenges proactively.
- Maintain accurate and timely work records.
- Manage storm response operations, including staffing coordination and roster updates.
Safety Management & Incident Oversight
- Champion a safety-first culture through training, policy enforcement, and regular inspections.
- Participate in corporate safety programs and monitor local compliance.
- Collaborate with safety and leadership teams during incident investigations and resolution.
- Assist in evaluating and resolving legal or damage claims involving field operations.
Resource & Equipment Management
- Coordinate equipment allocation, usage, and transfers to meet operational needs.
- Track inventory and implement controls to prevent loss.
- Ensure compliance with equipment maintenance policies and vendor management guidelines.
- Maximize the utility and efficiency of fleet and field equipment.
Quality Assurance & Work Standards
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality arboricultural and other contracted services.
- Implement performance improvement processes to enhance operational outcomes.
Administrative & Financial Management
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to management regarding field performance, issues, and milestones.
- Oversee invoicing processes, including timesheet matching, job number assignment, and invoice approvals.
- Review and approve supply orders, expense reports, and cost tracking documentation.
- Participate in monthly job and financial performance reviews.
- Support bid development by surveying projects and assisting with proposal preparations.
Secondary Duties
- Participate in emergency response operations outside of regular hours as needed.
- Serve temporarily in supervisory or frontline roles during absences.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support field and corporate goals.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of Five (5) years of directly related experience as a first-line Field Manager/Group Leader
- Minimum of Three (3) years of experience as a General Foreperson
- Licensed Pesticide/Herbicide Applicator with a R/W subclass (in state of employment)
- Certified Tree Worker or Certified Arborist from the International Society of Arboriculture
- Valid Driver’s License in state of residence
Skills And Competencies
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Meet all physical requirements of the position.
- Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, DOT regulations.
- 18 years of age or older, or 21 if CDL is required.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred:
- Associate’s degree in forestry, Business Management or equivalent discipline
- Commercial Driver’s License (Class B minimum)
- Conversational knowledge of the Spanish Language
- CPR/First Aid Instructor Certification
