Job summary

MPW Industrial Services is seeking an experienced supervisor to safely and efficiently execute operations at automotive or environmental job sites. responsibilities include planning, organizing, and coordinating equipment and personnel across projects.

The role requires coordinating schedules, ensuring task quality, supervising staff, and interfacing with purchasing to maintain inventory. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential to drive safety and productivity

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience supervising in industrial cleaning preferred.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily work schedules and ensure timely execution of tasks.
  • Ensure quality and completion of all tasks per work schedules and customer directives.
  • Evaluate employee performance and document corrective actions when needed.
  • Coordinate locations inventory and interface with purchasing to maintain stock levels.
  • Collaborate with operations manager to forecast staffing needs and schedules.
  • Lead daily technician and team leader meetings to discuss safety, operations, and HR topics.
  • Identify, analyze and resolve operational problems promptly.
  • Ensure customer quality standards are met or exceeded.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and recommend merit increases.
  • Handle nightly administrative tasks including attendance and status reporting.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

This position is responsible for safely and efficiently executing MPWs operations at specific automotive or environmental job sites. This role may also be responsible for the full life cycle of jobs including planning, organizing and coordinating equipment and personnel.

Essential Functions
  • Responsible for coordinating daily work schedules.
  • Responsible for ensuring the completion and the quality of all tasks as established within the language of the work schedules and the completion of special projects as directed by the customer.
  • Responsible for evaluating employee performance, initiates and documents corrective action when appropriate.
  • Responsible for coordinating the locations entire inventory needs, and for interfacing with corporate purchasing to maintain proper inventory levels.
  • Responsible for working closely with the operations manager in accessing future staffing requirements and work schedules.
  • Responsible for coordinating daily technician and team leader meetings to inform them of the job safety analysis for the job and leading the discussion of any related topics, i.e. Safety, Operations, Human Resources.
  • Responsible for identifying, analyzing and resolving operational based problems.
  • Responsible for ensuring the established quality standards of the customer are met or exceeded.
  • Responsible for conducting annual reviews of direct reports and recommending merit increases to ensure compliance with established wage structure for that location.
  • Responsible for nightly administrative tasks, which include documenting attendance, work completed, work not completed, customers request to complete work that has not been assigned to MPW as well as a status report to the operations/account manager recapping the shift.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
Additional Responsibilities
  • This person must be ready to make the decision that has the potential of stopping production at our customers location.
  • Address employee relations issues effectively and timely.
  • Has the authority to make unsupervised decisions consistent with the scope of responsibilities.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to move up to 50 lbs., with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to maintain a consistent workload that involves physical manual labor.
  • Ability to maintain alertness and fitness for duty.
  • Ability to position oneself for work conducted in and around confined spaces.
  • Ability to wear respirators in environments that may expose you to chemicals, fumes, etc.
  • Ability to maintain workloads that may include travel to a variety of states for days or weeks, and daily timeframes that could exceed the typical 8-hour shift.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Understanding of industrial cleaning industry with the ability to lead and motivate others to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the operation.
  • Professional oral and written interpersonal communication.
  • 2+ years supervisory experience preferred, ideally within the industrial cleaning environment/related to our line of work.
  • Proficient MS Office skills, preferred.
