Position: Supervisor; Location: US-MD-Baltimore; Shift: 2nd Shift; Division: DSUS; Openings: 1.
Overview
Under indirect supervision/assistance, this position is responsible for the daily maintenance operation of the site.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of 3+ employees ensuring maintenance schedules are met.
- Manage and perform daily system maintenance and repair as needed.
- Ensure adherence to company training programs.
- Direct supervise of daily assignments; schedule and supervise mechanics and technicians.
- Review and monitor personnel assignments, issue and complete work orders.
- Coordinate repairs, maintenance and overhauls with airport and airline staff to minimize customer downtime.
- Coordinate and manage daily preventive maintenance program.
- Assist with budgeting and finances at site.
- Manage parts inventory.
- Resolve technical issues.
- Maintain daily turnover reports.
- Promote zero defects and continuous improvement.
- Train, develop and motivate staff toward company objectives.
- Conduct performance appraisals and disciplinary actions.
- Work according to company regulations, procedures and management instructions.
- Demonstrate professionalism in appearance, manner and communication.
- Monitor company quality program and ensure compliance.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, state, local and company safety laws, coordinating safety matters.
- Maintain site morale and customer satisfaction.
- Perform additional duties as required by management.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate, GED or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in a related trade.
- Ability to read and understand basic electrical/hydraulic schematics.
- Must possess own set of hand tools common to the trade.
- Ability to work non-traditional schedule including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a related field.
- Previous work experience in an airport environment.
- Strong hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting experience.
- State and/or ASE certification in automotive or diesel repair or related field.
- 5+ years of direct experience in applicable position.
- 4+ years of direct experience in a GSE airport shop environment.
- 3+ years of experience working in a CMMS.
- 3 years of experience mentoring, guiding, directing employees.
- 3 years of leadership experience in related field.
- Knowledge of general workplace safety requirements.
- Supervisory experience in an airport environment.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.

Other Requirements

- Must obtain and maintain an Airport Security badge.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable under company insurance policy.
- Must comply with ELS Drug and Alcohol policy.
Physical Demands
Daily lifting and carrying up to 51 lbs. Standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, reaching and climbing as required. The job involves frequent or occasional physical effort across the workday.
Work Environment
Performed in an office environment and all areas of airport property, including dust, dirt and noise levels below OSHA minimum requirements.

Compensation
USD $87,360.00 per year.
