Are you a PE-licensed Transmission Line Engineer who enjoys leading design teams and wants ownership of delivery on major T&D projects?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that offers clear leadership progression and is experiencing major growth with a strong backlog, driven by ongoing grid expansion and increasing demand from data-center infrastructure.

The company is a long-established EPC that designs, engineers, and delivers high- and medium-voltage power infrastructure for utilities, power generation, industrial, oil & gas, and renewables.

In this role, you’ll supervise multiple project teams and assign resources across a transmission design group - driving QA/QC adherence, coordinating with construction and purchasing, and stepping in hands-on when needed to keep projects on track.

The Role:
  • Own the quality, schedule, and profitability performance of a transmission engineering team.
  • Supervise multiple projects concurrently and run weekly team meetings.
  • Assign work/resources based on project scope, timelines, and team capacity.
  • Coordinate engineering deliverables with construction and purchasing (internal and external stakeholders).
  • Enforce project standards and the company QA/QC process; qualify team members for QA/QC where - required.
  • Track schedules and budgets; drive corrective actions when projects drift.
  • Perform hands-on transmission line engineering as needed: routing, conductor selection, structure determination, plan & profile development, material takeoffs, etc.
  • Maintain documentation discipline within the document management system.
  • Travel ~10% for short site visits, meetings, and training.
The Person:
  • Licensed PE (required).
  • 10+ years of hands-on transmission line design experience with strong high-voltage knowledge.
  • Proven experience managing a design team (multi-discipline engineers, designers, drafters).
  • Strong tools background: PLS-CADD, PLS-Tower, PLS-Pole, Sag10, LPILE, FAD (or close equivalents).
  • Strong standards knowledge: NESC, GO 95, IEEE, ANSI, ASTM (as applicable to transmission design).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
