Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior housing attorney to lead and supervise a team of attorneys and paralegals across Los Angeles County, focusing on eviction defense and tenant rights.

You will train staff, manage case workflows, and coordinate with Stay Housed LA and the Right to Counsel Coalition, while developing community outreach and policy advocacy.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor with license to practice in California.
• Experience in housing law and tenant representation.
• 5+ years of legal practice; supervision and mentoring experience.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of unlawful detainer, subsidized housing and tenant protections.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of unlawful detainer litigation, subsidized housing, and tenant protections


• Experience drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and representing tenants at bench and jury trials


• Excellent communication, attention to detail, organization, and leadership skills


• Trauma-informed and empathetic driven mindset


• Proficient in Microsoft Office, LegalServer, and form generation tools like Lawyaw


• Valid driver’s license or other reliable transportation; travel required


• Bilingual preferred
