Job summary

Build Group, Inc. in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Superintendent for Tenant Improvement & Special Projects to lead day-to-day operations on a busy construction site, uphold safety, develop schedules, and coordinate with subcontractors.

You will manage equipment, ensure quality control, and work with internal teams to meet contract and budget goals, while mentoring the field crew to deliver excellent workmanship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 7+ years of construction field experience with at least 5 years as Lead Superintendent.
• Strong computer skills with MS Office (Outlook, Project, Excel, Word).
• OSHA-30 certification.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a safe and orderly worksite with employees and subcontractors.
• Site Staging: develop and maintain a complete site layout plan, coordinating with internal and external parties.
• Quality Control: partner with internal teams to maintain a project-specific quality control program for timely, high-quality results.
• Job Equipment: identify needs, manage and maintain equipment with internal teams and suppliers.
• Develop and lead team to continuously grow and do their best work.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Superintendent, Tenant Improvement & Special Projects is responsible for managing overall safety while ensuring that the day-to-day operations on a construction jobsite are managed using a mastered set of skills. These skills include developing schedules, sequencing work, maintaining high quality standards, managing equipment and supervising subcontractors’ work product according to relevant contracts and budgets.
