Job summary

Rachel Contracting, Inc. is seeking a Renewable Energy Superintendent to lead civil construction efforts across industrial, solar, and wind energy projects in the Midwest and Central US.

You will manage site grading, coordinate with subcontractors, and supervise a field crew of 5–25 workers while upholding safety and quality standards. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in heavy civil construction, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to juggle multiple operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform site grading and oversee civil construction activities for industrial, solar, and wind energy projects, including road improvements and maintenance, drainage systems, dewatering, soil stabilization, foundation excavation and backfill, utilities, and other necessary site improvements.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to plan and execute work, interpret project specifications, and coordinate multiple phases of construction to ensure timely project completion.
• Monitor work in progress to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and construction schedules through regular communication with the Project Manager and General Superintendent.
• Manage and lead a field workforce of approximately 5 to 25 team members, including equipment operators and laborers.
• Support the Project Manager in material procurement, scheduling and project documentation to maintain project efficiency.
• Enforce company safety policies and ensure all personnel comply with established safety standards and project requirements.
