The superintendent is expected to be the chief executive officer and provide professional and educational leadership to the school district for all curriculum, human resources, finance, and business operations. Evaluate teachers and staff. Develop curriculum maps with teachers. Facilitate and arrange for professional development. Manage teacher mentoring program. Facilitate the hiring process for teachers and athletic coaches. Supervise athletic games. Write and manage budget. Manage investments. Complete the tax levy. Negotiate teachers' collective bargaining agreement. Complete state reports. Fulfill FOIAs. Attend community events.
Must have Illinois Superintendent licensure. Must have administrator or principal endorsement.
The Board expects to offer a salary in the range of $80,000 - $120,000 and a benefit package including THIS and 7% TRS, $200 stipend towards health insurance, sick days, personal days, vacation days, and professional dues. It is anticipated that the total compensation package will be based on successful experience and education.
