Job summary

MSS Solutions LLC in Zebulon, NC, is seeking a experienced Superintendent Plumbing to lead field operations on large-scale projects. You will collaborate with Project Managers to ensure plumbing work is installed according to contract documents and code requirements, while coordinating crews and schedules.

The role requires strong technical skills, OSHA 30, and proficiency in reading blueprints and BIM coordination. You will drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery across busy urban sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a plumbing superintendent on large-scale projects.
• Expert knowledge of state/federal plumbing codes and standards.
• OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, schedules, and cost control.
• Experience with BIM coordinated projects and field logistics.

Responsibilities

• Ensure plumbing work follows contract docs and codes.
• Document delays, tie-ins, and changes with the PM.
• Manage inspections and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
• Lead field crew and ensure safety and time-cost allocation.
• Read complex blueprints and install manuals for correct work.
• Participate in project meetings and QA checks.

Roles and Responsibilities

Ensure the actual physical construction of plumbing systems is done according to contract documents local & national building codes and project specific compliance requirementsWork with the Project Manager to document and maintain reports for delays work arounds shutdowns tie ins etcResolve disputes on job sites and lead and inspire the teamMaintain satisfactory relationships with customers subcontractors vendors and others while working in a team environment with Project Managers Superintendents and field laborEnsure all MSS related plumbing scope is in compliance with applicable statefederal codes quality standards schedule and budgetManage and attend all plumbing inspections on assigned projectsManage and enforce MSSs tool tracking program as it applies to plumbing projects and personnelForecast and manage differing levels of labor and equipment for plumbing projectsRead complex plumbing blueprints and equipment installation manuals to ensure proper implementationAddress complex job related problems and bring solutions to the Project Team or Field Ops ManagerTrack plumbing project progress and report to the Field Ops Manager and Project Managers weeklyComplete daily Job Hazard Analysis supervise daily sign in of all personnel and verify correct time cost allocation for all labor on projectsManage safety on assigned projects assisting the safety manager in maintaining a safe working environmentCoordinate and communicate daily plumbing job operations with project managers and manage the activities of subcontractors vendors and laborInterview and select field staff for plumbing related jobsitesParticipate in all project meetings to ensure smooth operationsConduct safety talks and maintain check in sheetsConduct performance reviews for employees on the plumbing projectOther such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time

Qualifications and Requirements

At least 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the plumbing field specifically with large scale mechanical or plumbing projectsSubject matter expert and knowledge of all plumbing statelocalfederal construction codes and standardsOSHA 30 certification required or ability to obtain withing 90 daysExperience and proficiency in all phases of plumbing work including methods materials scheduling and cost controlMust be able to work with a variety of plumbing tools and equipmentExperience in accessing reading and completing the installation of plumbing systems from a BIM coordinated projectAbility to juggle multiple priorities in a fast paced environmentStrong technical and communication skills are criticalMust be competent in using Microsoft Excel Word and ProjectThorough understanding of maintaining complete sets of plumbing project documents blueprints revisions and specificationsDemonstrated proficiency in managing plumbing site logistics on tight urban sites
