Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a hands-on Superintendent (Non-Union) for a NY-based property portfolio, overseeing facilities operations from inspection to preventive maintenance. The role includes supervising maintenance staff, coordinating vendors, and managing budgets to ensure tenant needs are met.

Supervises a smaller facility, office building, apartment complex or similar commercial or residential space. The Superintendent is expected to conduct site and facility inspections, to be hands on in performing work, to supervise and coordinate contractors/vendors, execute a preventive maintenance program, purchase materials, supervise day-to-day maintenance and janitorial duties of the property, and perform budget tracking. Also expected to determine need and extent of service, equipment required, type and number of operation and maintenance personnel needed, and to perform and assign work.

Must have ability to stoop, stand, climb, frequently lift a minimum of 50 lbs. of equipment (pumps, tools, ladders) and safely install rigging/lifting devices. Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine. Involves movement between departments, floors, and properties to facilitate work. Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you. Ability to read and understand information presented orally and in writing. Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, drawings, and schematics. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to travel from floor to floor and may be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions. The employee may also be regularly required to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Regularly use hands to operate office machinery including, but not limited to, telephones, computers, fax, and photocopy machines. Regularly required to walk, talk, and hear.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $34.00 - $40.00
