Job summary

Kids for the Future in Gardner, KS seeks a Superintendent to lead roofing technicians, ensuring safe, productive work per specifications and company standards.

You will provide leadership to crews, foster safety, teamwork and discipline, and manage all aspects of production to deliver high‑quality roof system installations and professional service for customers.

You will engage with customers, review progress, and coordinate with project managers to meet schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) + years experience in the commercial roofing industry.
• OSHA 30-hour card.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field staff.
• Visit job sites.
• Conduct or participate in safety audits.
• Train field staff in safety, work skills and efficiency.
• Resolve complaints and grievances; assist with discipline when necessary.
• Discuss opportunities for professional development.
• Maintain understanding of contract information for jobs.
• Schedule materials, equipment and deliveries, paying special attention to using inventoried materials.
• Monitor material usage, minimize waste, anticipate shortages and order materials as needed.
• Coordinate, supervise and manage field staff.

• Schedule daily or weekly contact with customers to review progress.
• Discuss any outstanding issues with customers and other parties.

JOB SUMMARY

The SUPERINTENDENT is responsible for leading roofing technicians to perform work safely and productively per specifications and to the standards of the company and customer. The Superintendent will provide leadership to roofing technicians—fostering safety, teamwork and discipline—resulting in efficient and professional roof system installation, provide consistently high‑quality service and results, represent the company in a professional manner in all dealings with customers, personnel and the public, and effectively manage all aspects of production to meet company and project goals

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Three (3) + years experience in the commercial roofing industry

OSHA 30-hour card

Valid Driver’s License

WORK CONDITIONS:

Works in a heated and cooled office environment.

Works outside in all types of weather and may be exposed to extreme heat and cold, rain, snow, sun etc.
