Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions seeks experienced Superintendents for a nuclear maintenance, installations and operations team on an active site in Aiken, SC. You will supervise multiple Foremen and crews, manage work plans, safety, quality and productivity, and interface with clients, engineers, suppliers and subcontractors.

The role emphasizes leadership, meticulous site execution, and adherence to drawings and specifications to drive successful project delivery in a demanding nuclear environment.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years construction experience, 5-10+ years in a Superintendent/leadership role on nuclear projects.
• Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to learn and apply Kiewit policies, procedures and software.
• Strong leadership, safety, negotiations, planning and contract administration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the safety, quality and productivity of craft employees.
• Mentor and help to grow Jr. Superintendents.
• Review safety and LOTO protective measures in place.
• Develop operational workplans.
• Perform toolbox talks with crews and communicate safety/quality messages.
• Ensure crews have tools, materials and information to perform the work.
• Understand project quality requirements and perform hold points and quality checks.
• Participate in daily scheduling/coordination meetings and maintain schedules.
• Coordinate with subcontractors as needed.
• Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover.
• Maintain daily diary for record keeping.

We are seeking experienced Superintendents to join our nuclear maintenance, installations, and operations team. As a Superintendent you will play a significant part in the success for Kiewit. You will function as a field supervisor and may have responsibility for multiple Foreman, and/or laborers/craft workers. You with be responsible for the organization, work methods, scheduling, cost control, conformity with drawings and specification, workmanship, and assignment of work to accomplish the execution of the work, either directly or through General Foreman or Foreman. You will also work to maintain positive working relationships with clients, architect/engineer, suppliers, subcontractors, and jobsite staff.

Aiken, SC. This position is on an active construction site. Daily attendence to site is required.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years' construction experience with 5-10+ years being in a Superintendent/Leadership capacity (working maintenance and mods projects on nuclear power plants).
• Must be a self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to quickly learn and understand various processes regarding Kiewit’s policies, procedures and software programs.
• Ability to identify and resolve any problems that may arise.
• Excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong experience in Leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration.
