Job summary

ARCO/Murray is seeking a highly motivated College Superintendent Intern/Coop to gain hands-on experience in construction management. You will assist Superintendents on diverse projects and develop schedules, coordinate subcontractors, and help manage project life cycles.

This internship offers practical learning, housing and per diem support when traveling, and potential for overtime with competitive hourly compensation. Open to travel and enrolled in related degree programs is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Enrolled in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related degree programs.
• Co-op or Intern construction experience preferred, but not required.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic.
• Open to Travel.

Responsibilities

• Visit jobsites and gain hands-on experience from field personnel on projects across industries.
• Learn from the Superintendent on the job, including creating schedules, coordinating subcontractors, and managing project progress.
• Contribute to ARCO’s success by performing critical tasks in every stage of the project life cycle.

Responsibilities

At ARCO, an Intern/Co-op has the opportunity to assist Superintendents with the following:

• Visit Jobsites and get hands on experience from our expert field personnel on projects in a variety of industries, including commercial, industrial, distribution, office, multi-family, entertainment and more.
• Learn various skills from the Superintendent on the job, including creating schedules, talking to subcontractors, running a project smoothly from start to finish and working with the Superintendent on the job.
• You will make a meaningful contribution to ARCO’s success, performing critical tasks in every stage of the project life cycle.

Requirements

• Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Enrolled in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or other related degree programs.
• Co-op or Intern construction experience preferred, but not required.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic.
• Open to Travel.
