Job summary

TruTeam in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Superintendent to supervise field crews, manage production schedules, and ensure work orders are completed on time and to specification.

You will interpret blueprints, conduct daily safety meetings, perform site inspections, and mentor workers through on-the-job training.

Experience in construction trades and leading a crew is required, bilingual English/Spanish preferred, and a valid driver's license is needed for local travel.

  • Perform Job Site Inspections (JSIs) and oversee quality of work.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and provide on-the-job training.

Are you ready to become one of our best?Responsible for interpreting specifications, blueprints, job orders and company policies and procedures to employees.Report job and schedule status to manager as appropriate.Identify and resolve issues that prevent work order completion or impact scheduling.Perform Job Site Inspections (JSI’s).Oversee quality of work performed and reports any discrepancies.Examine and inspect work progress, equipment and construction sites to verify safety, and ensure that specifications are met.Conduct daily safety meetings with work crews and create a culture for working safely.Provide On Job Training (OJT) through self or others, to workers to ensure work is being performed in accordance with company specifications and procedures.Any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned.Your QualificationsMinimum of 18 years of age.If operating a vehicle for company purposes, a valid driver's license is required.Experience in construction trades and leading a crew.Bi-lingual English/Spanish (preferred).THIS IS A SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITIONTravel RequirementsType of Travel Required: LocalAmount of Travel Required: <25%Need to work overtime and weekends as required.Physical RequirementsThis role requires prolonged standing and repetitive motions, including bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
