Job summary

Cash Construction, a MasTec company, is seeking a Superintendent I to lead day-to-day field construction on projects in the Texas area, including Austin/Pflugerville. You will supervise crews, coordinate schedules, manage materials, and ensure safety and quality throughout the work.

The role requires 3–5 years as a Superintendent with travel across Texas; relocation assistance is provided. Bonus plan, vehicle allowance, fuel card, and toll tag are included as part of the compensation package.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a Superintendent; ability to travel Texas-wide.
• Proficient computer skills for project documentation and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to field construction personnel.
• Daily/weekly scheduling of field personnel and construction operations.
• Ensure work is performed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Review project plans and specifications; identify and resolve issues.
• Manage material logistics, deliveries, and site workflow for earthwork and related components.
• Maintain daily paperwork (as-built drawings, timecards, reports, emails).
• Coordinate with field staff, management, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Monitor attendance, rain day notifications, and safety program adherence.
• Lead safety meetings, conduct hazard reviews, and investigate incidents with Safety Dept.

Overview

Cash Construction, a MasTec company, is currently hiring for a Superintendent for our sites in the state of Texas.

The Superintendent I is a leader whose primary responsibility is to supervise the day-to-day field construction of a project or multiple projects. To ensure completion of the work on schedule, within budget, safely and in a quality manner. Successful candidate must have experience and knowledge in earthwork, underground utility work, subgrade/base and paving.

Relocation assistance will be provided if needed.

This position offers a bonus plan, relocation assistance, vehicle allowance + fuel card + toll tag.

Location & Travel Details: This is an onsite position, based at our client site in the Austin, TX/Pflugerville, TX area. Hybrid work is a possibility on a case-by-case basis after an initial evaluation period.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to field construction personnel.
• Daily/weekly scheduling of field personnel and construction operations.
• Active role in assuring productive work occurs in a safe and quality manner.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of project plans and specifications.
• Identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate solutions.
• Manage job Material logistics, placement and deliveries to ensure workflow in operating at optimum efficiency. (This applies to earthwork as well as other material deliveries including base/bedding/pipe/etc.)
• Maintain daily paperwork (ex. as-built drawings, timecards, test reports, e-mail correspondence, etc.).
• Communicate and collaborate with wide range of individuals, including field staff, management, suppliers/vendors and subcontractors.
• Monitor and manage employee attendance, ensuring the timely arrival and participation of all crew members, and notifying employees of rain days, prior to the start of the work.
• Promote, execute and adhere to the company's safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture. Conduct daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
• Review safe work plans/hazard assessments with crew prior to job commencement.
• Work with Safety Department to investigate damage, incidents or near misses in the worksite, and ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the Company's Safety Program.
• Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Preferred 3-5 years of experience as a Superintendent. Ability to travel around various projects around the state of Texas.
• Valid and active OSHA 30
• Trench Safety and Excavation (certification preferred)
• CPR / First Aid certification preferred
• Computer skills are a plus
