Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Superintendent to oversee all HVAC systems on commercial construction projects. You will lead a team of technicians, coordinate with PMs and architects, and ensure installations meet design, budget, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of HVAC experience in commercial construction.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems (heating, cooling, air conditioning).
• Experience with plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with HVAC tools and installation/repair equipment.
• Strong understanding of regulations at local/state/federal level.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and quick issue resolution.
• Clear communication to non-technical teammates.
• Proficiency with project management software for HVAC design.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to sites; HVAC certification/degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems on commercial projects.
• Coordinate with PMs, architects, and other pros to integrateHVAC into designs.
• Supervise HVAC technicians; provide guidance and support.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC issues including heating/cooling/air conditioning.
• Prepare and manage budgets for HVAC operations to maximize efficiency.
• Stay updated on HVAC tech and industry trends and apply where appropriate.
• Ensure all HVAC operations comply with applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• 1. Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of all HVAC systems in our commercial construction projects.
• 2. Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other construction professionals to ensure HVAC systems are integrated seamlessly into building designs.
• 3. Supervise a team of HVAC technicians, providing guidance and support as needed.
• 4. Conduct regular inspections of HVAC systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and comply with safety regulations.
• 5. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with HVAC systems, including issues with heating, cooling, and air conditioning.
• 6. Prepare and manage the budget for HVAC operations, making sure to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
• 7. Stay up-to-date on the latest HVAC technologies and industry trends, and implement these into our operations where appropriate.

• 9. Proficiency in using computer software for project management and HVAC system design.
• 10. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various construction sites as needed.
• 11. Certification or degree in HVAC technology or a related field is preferred.
