Position Overview

The Superintendent (General Manager) is responsible for the overall administration of Gethsemane and St. Patrick Cemeteries, ensuring operations align with Catholic teachings and industry standards. This role includes overseeing sales, marketing, staff management, budgeting, compliance, and community outreach, with a focus on compassionate service and organizational integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operations Management: Direct daily cemetery operations, oversee interment services, maintain safety and cleanliness.
  2. Customer Service: Lead a culture of compassionate service, represent ACC during services, uphold the dignity of families.
  3. Sales & Outreach: Supervise sales staff, develop community outreach programs, monitor sales performance.
  4. Staff Supervision: Support staff scheduling, training, performance reviews, foster team collaboration.
  5. Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, monitor expenses, ensure fiscal responsibility.
  6. Compliance & Collaboration: Ensure adherence to policies and regulations, collaborate across departments.
  7. Professional Development: Attend industry events, stay informed on best practices, represent ACC professionally.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree.
  • 5+ years supervisory experience in operations, facilities, or cemetery services.
  • Leadership skills, empathy, discretion, organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of Catholic burial rites preferred.
  • Experience with budgets and operational metrics.
  • Proficient with technology; cemetery management systems preferred.
  • Valid WA driver’s license and ability to travel.
