Job summary

Persons Services Corporation in Valdosta, GA is seeking a driven Superintendent to lead field operations for a commercial construction project. You will supervise crews, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence on site.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in commercial construction, excellent communication, and hands‑on problem‑solving skills. A Construction Management degree is preferred, with proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Office to support project

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction field operations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Construction/Science, or related field (preferred).
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with a proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with construction management software (Procore).
• Experience using smartphones and tablets in conjunction with field management software.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and trade practices.
• Eager to learn, grow, and develop into a future Superintendent role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all construction services and activities on assigned projects.
• Lead and manage construction crews, ensuring efficiency and safety on-site.
• Manage subcontractors to ensure high-quality work and adherence to project timelines.
• Interface regularly with clients, inspectors, and building officials to ensure smooth communication and compliance.
• Maintain detailed daily logs and weekly production reports to track progress.
• Implement cost-effective strategies and techniques in the field, leveraging experience and knowledge of the industry.
• Maintain a strict project schedule, making necessary adjustments based on field conditions to meet deadlines.
• Manage all field operations for assigned projects, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
• Proactively manage project budgets, striving to complete projects under budget when possible.
• Foster a culture of safety and commitment to PSC's core values.
• Ensure project schedules are met, and milestones are achieved.
• Collaborate with Project Management and Estimating teams to develop effective construction approaches.
