Job summary

Pepper Construction Wisconsin is seeking experienced Superintendents to lead complex commercial construction projects across Wisconsin, including Milwaukee and Madison. This role focuses on safety, planning, accountability, and collaboration to deliver results with integrity.

The Superintendents will supervise all field operations, mentor staff, and partner with Project Managers, Owners, Architects, and trade partners to drive on-time, on-budget project delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading commercial construction projects in the field.
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, sequencing, and safety practices.
• Senior Superintendent candidates typically bring 15+ years of progressively responsible field leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or equivalent field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all field operations from preconstruction through closeout.
• Build and maintain safe, high-performing jobsites where safety is never compromised.
• Develop and manage project schedules, including short-interval planning.
• Coordinate and direct subcontractors and field teams.
• Drive quality, production, sequencing, and daily execution.
• Partner closely with Project Managers, Owners, Architects, Engineers, and trade partners.
• Anticipate and resolve field challenges proactively and professionally.
• Manage labor, equipment, and material performance to achieve project goals.
• Mentor and develop other Superintendents and field staff.
• Represent Pepper with professionalism and integrity on every project.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience leading commercial construction projects in the field
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, sequencing, and safety practices
• Ability to lead teams, build trust, and hold high standards
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing projects approximately $10M+ preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or equivalent field experience preferred
• Senior Superintendent candidates typically bring 15+ years of progressively responsible field leadership experience
