Position Description: Construction Superintendent

Construction Superintendents are responsible for organizational and project management duties, leading the construction team and ensuring resource availability. We seek an experienced and motivated Superintendent eager for growth opportunities.
Position Responsibilities:
- Validate schedule progression and adherence; produce daily logs and documentation within cloud-based project management software.
- Inspect build sites daily for progress, quality standards, and schedule compliance.
- Address production issues with solutions-oriented approaches to meet high-quality standards.
- Lead and coordinate activities of Specialty Superintendents, Foremen, Skilled Laborers, and Subcontractors.
- Collaborate with the construction executive team to improve processes.
- Ensure design quality, materials management, budget accuracy, and take-off accuracy.
- Enhance the customer experience throughout the construction process.
- Work with trade partners to improve quality and efficiency.
- Build trust with homeowners through open communication.
- Coordinate with Sales personnel regarding neighborhood and customer activities.
- Assist in producing or validating as-built drawings for utility and heavy civil projects.
- Ensure safety standards and SWPPP compliance on job sites.
- Resolve issues related to daily construction activities, including vendor contracts, work orders, and warranty claims.
- Authorize payments for materials and work completed.
- Ensure timely and quality completion of trade partner work.
- Develop clear scope of work for subcontractors and support process improvements.
- Inspect and validate workmanship and product quality per standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum 10 years of construction industry experience or equivalent education.
- At least 5 years as a Site Superintendent on commercial projects, preferably in higher education or healthcare sectors.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of construction documents and Critical Path schedules.
- Proficient in MS Outlook and Office Suite.
- Effective communication with owners, architects, subcontractors, and staff.
- Ability to enforce policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Experience in managing changes, costs, and schedules.
- Leadership in subcontractor meetings and project coordination.
- Proficiency with Procore Project Management Software.
- Knowledge of OSHA and ICRA safety standards, including OSHA 30-hour certification.
- Previous experience with Construction Management, General Contractor, Architectural, or Engineering firms is preferred but not required.
