Job summary

RP Masiello is seeking an experienced superintendent to lead commercial construction projects in New England, serving as the field liaison with project managers and estimators to deliver a high-quality product.

You will coordinate all field operations, including RPM’s self-performing teams and subcontractors, while maintaining safety, scheduling, and quality standards on ground-up builds in Worcester, MA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a superintendent on commercial construction projects
• Ground-up new build experience highly preferred
• Experience with Design/Build delivery method
• Ability to lead multiple subcontracting vendors and coordinate complex field operations
• Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements, safety and quality control
• Experience using construction technology software (Procore)

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and consultants
• Plan and maintain short- and long-term look-ahead schedules; drive day-to-day execution to meet milestones
• Administer and enforce the jobsite safety program, including orientations, daily/weekly safety practices, and compliance documentation
• Oversee field quality management to ensure OSHA compliance and corrective actions as needed
• Coordinate site logistics, access, material staging, deliveries, and equipment utilization
• Communicate effectively with owners, architects/engineers, and internal teams to resolve field issues and maintain progress
• Maintain clear daily reporting (manpower, progress, weather impacts, delays, and site conditions)

RP Masiello is looking for an experienced superintendent to join our team delivering commercial construction projects across New England. The superintendent serves as the key field leader on major commercial construction projects and is responsible for being the field liaison; working closely with project managers, the estimating team, and other supporting teams to foster a safe and efficient working environment while delivering a high- quality product to our clients.

Role Summary

Our superintendents provide the day-to-day leadership and technical oversight of construction activities on the jobsite. You will coordinate and direct all field operations, to include RPM’s self-performing teams, subcontractors, and other project operations managers to ensure the work is executed safely and promptly and meets RPM’s quality standards. RPM believes in a “flattened” hierarchy without excessive layers of executive bureaucracy. Superintendents work collaboratively with project managers but also have access to other departments and company leadership to effectively and creatively deliver the best possible product.

Responsibilities Include

Desired Qualifications

5+ years experience as a superintendent on commercial construction projects, with experience on ground-up new build projects highly preferred

Experience and/or knowledge of Design/Build delivery method is preferred

Demonstrated ability to lead multiple subcontracting vendors and coordinate complex field operations

Strong knowledge of jobsite safety, OSHA requirements, and quality control best practices

Experience working within various construction technology software programs (Procore) required

Relevant degree in engineering, or related technical field is a plus (and may be required depending on experience mix)

Capable of working collaboratively with all parties involved to deliver the best project outcome while fostering a professional, safe, and respectful working environment.
