Job summary

VALCOURT EXTERIOR BUILDING SERVICES OF FLORIDA L C is seeking an experienced Waterproofing Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial building envelope projects. You will manage on-site crews, review drawings and specifications, and ensure quality and safety across multiple sites.

This role requires hands-on leadership, excellent communication, willingness to travel up to 25%, and a track record of delivering durable waterproofing systems while mentoring foremen and technicians.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial waterproofing or building envelope systems.
• Strong knowledge of membranes, coatings, sealants, flashing, and joints.
• Prior experience as a Superintendent or in a leadership role within construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage on-site crews performing commercial waterproofing installations and repairs (below-grade, plaza decks, roofing interfaces, sealants, and air/vapor barriers).
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications, project requirements, and industry standards.
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and waterproofing details.
• Coordinate daily with project managers, general contractors, and subcontractors.
• Conduct quality control inspections and resolve field issues in real time.
• Enforce safety standards and maintain compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Train, mentor, and support field technicians and foremen.
