Job summary

gpac is seeking a Superintendent with a strong multifamily background for the Traverse City, MI area. You will run the field, coordinate subs, schedule, inspections, quality, and site activity while pushing progress and staying ahead of issues.

Ideal candidate has 5+ years in supervision, multifamily construction, and a proven ability to manage RFIs, field changes, and safety on ground-up projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years as a Superintendent on heavy/timber frame projects.
• Mandatory multifamily construction experience.
• Ground-up project experience preferred.
• Strong ability to manage subs, schedule, safety, quality, and progress.

Responsibilities

• You’ll run the field side of the project, coordinating subs, schedule, inspections, quality, and site activity.
• You’ll work closely with the Project Manager and take ownership to keep the jobsite progressing.

One of Michigan's leading commercial general contractors is looking for a Superintendent with a strong multifamily background for the Traverse City area.

Superintendent - Multifamily

This role is for someone who knows how to run a jobsite, manage trades, stay ahead of the schedule, and deal with issues before they become bigger problems. The right person will have enough field experience to make decisions, push progress, and keep everyone aligned without needing constant direction.

Background Needed

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience
• Multifamily construction experience is required
• Ground-up experience preferred
• Strong subcontractor management
• Solid understanding of scheduling and sequencing
• Experience coordinating inspections, deliveries, manpower, and site logistics
• Comfortable reviewing plans, working through RFIs, and handling field changes
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and keeping the project moving

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll run the field side of the project and be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of subcontractors, schedule, inspections, quality, and overall site activity.

You’ll work closely with the Project Manager, but the expectation is that you can take ownership of the jobsite and keep the project progressing.
