Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent for our Topeka, Kansas projects. You will own field operations, work with the Project Manager to develop and maintain schedules, manage crews, and ensure safety and quality on site.

The ideal candidate has hands-on construction leadership, can coordinate with subcontractors and owners, and is willing to relocate or commute to Topeka. A proven track record delivering projects on time and within budget is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Construction Superintendent or field-leadership role.
• Willingness to relocate or commute to Topeka, KS.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, and coordinate with PMs and crews.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily field reports, two-week look-ahead schedules, and safety reports in accordance with company standards.
• Develop an understanding of project drawings, specifications, scope of work, and site conditions.
• Oversee and coordinate internal and external construction crews throughout the project duration.
• Monitor the project schedule and communicate progress, delays, and key developments to Project Managers and ownership.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accelerate the project schedule when possible.
• Serve as the primary field liaison with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and other companies providing materials or services.
• Ensure all workers have PPE and training to perform their work safely.
• Work with the Project Manager to meet owner needs and maintain strong client relationships.

Construction Superintendent

My Client is seeking an experiencedConstruction Superintendent, preferably with strong familiarity with the Topeka, Kansas market. We are looking for a self-motivated, driven construction professional who takes ownership of the field operations and plays a key role in the successful planning and execution of our projects.

The Superintendent will work closely with the Project Manager to develop and maintain the project schedule, manage field operations, coordinate change orders, monitor budgets, and maintain quality control throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and document daily field reports, two-week look-ahead schedules, and safety reports in accordance with company standards.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the project drawings, specifications, scope of work, and site conditions.
• Oversee and coordinate internal and external construction crews throughout the duration of the project.
• Monitor the project schedule and communicate progress, potential delays, and key developments to Project Managers and ownership. Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the project is completed within established schedule and budget requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accelerate the project schedule when possible.
• Serve as the primary field liaison with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and other companies providing materials or services to ensure work is properly coordinated and completed on schedule and within budget.
• Ensure all workers receive appropriate training and have the required personal protective equipment (PPE) to perform their work safely.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the owner's needs and expectations are met or exceeded throughout the project, while supporting the development and maintenance of strong client relationships.
