Job summary

Alpha Insulation & Waterproofing, part of the IBP family, is hiring for a Foreman role in the Tempe area. You will schedule deliveries, manage on-site manpower, and uphold safety and quality standards across multiple projects.

The position requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to train crews on product installations. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and 3+ years in fire-stopping materials or related fields, plus a valid driver’s license and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3+ years’ experience in fire-stopping materials or related fields.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule material deliveries on-site and coordinate monthly billings.
  • Sign materials in and out of the warehouse.
  • Schedule and manage job site manpower.
  • Set daily productivity and quality expectations.
  • Review scope of work with job site personnel.
  • Review and ensure safety procedures are followed.
  • Conduct daily job hazard analyses (JHA) with foremen and supervisors.
  • Inspect projects before scheduling crews for production readiness.
  • Train foremen on installation of materials and quality checks.
  • Attend weekly job site meetings and document site visits.
  • Maintain electronic job files and emails.
  • Prepare weekly manpower schedules.
  • Educate yourself on materials via submittals and spec sheets.
  • Coordinate housing for crews and assign housing as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance; must meet insurability standards.

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university. (Preferred)

  • 3+ years’ experience in fire-stopping materials, manufacturers, or related fields.

  • This job requires the employee to regularly sit and communicate verbally or through listening.

  • Frequently required to use their hands to finger, handle, or feel.

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste or smell.

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
