Ceres Environmental Operations (CEO) is a leader in crisis management, rapid response, and disaster recovery, committed to rebuilding stronger, safer communities. We specialize in emergency response, environmental services, planning, and consulting, including debris removal, temporary blue roofs, logistics, debris management, demolition, recycling, forest management, and coastal and marine restoration. As a licensed general contractor with bonding capability of $2 billion, we offer unparalleled expertise to restore stability where it’s needed most.
At CEO, we believe you’re more than just an employee; you’re part of a team with a purpose and a meaningful mission. Every team member plays a vital role in restoring hope, helping communities recover and rebuild.
We value initiative, respect diversity, and give our people the freedom to lead. We expect high levels of effort and strong ethics. We offer competitive pay, travel opportunities, and a culture built on resilience and teamwork. If you show up with compassion, share the commitment, react with urgency, and deliver solutions, you’ll fit right in. We don’t just respond to challenges; we rise to them.
We are seeking a seasoned Superintendent who excels in fast‑paced, operationally complex environments and can lead field teams through all phases of disaster recovery and construction projects. The ideal candidate brings strong field leadership, operational discipline, and financial awareness, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure and changing conditions.
This individual will be hands‑on, safety‑driven, and highly organized, capable of planning work, directing the daily activities of workers and subcontractors, managing materials and schedules, and ensuring strict adherence to contract requirements. Success in this role requires the ability to coordinate multiple work streams, resolve issues quickly in the field, and interface effectively with government representatives, inspectors, suppliers, and labor representatives while maintaining clear communication with project management.
We are looking for a leader who takes ownership of outcomes, holds teams accountable, and consistently looks for ways to improve productivity, quality, and profitability. The right candidate is comfortable with extended work hours when needed, thrives in deployed and travel‑heavy roles, and can step into disaster‑affected environments with minimal notice to stabilize operations and deliver results.
Above all, this role demands a Superintendent who champions a safety‑first culture, leads by example, and balances operational execution with financial and workforce awareness to drive successful project completion.
This Superintendent role supports active disaster recovery operations and requires flexibility, resilience, and hands‑on field leadership. Deployments may occur with short notice to disaster‑affected areas across the U.S., often involving long hours, extended workdays, and challenging site conditions.
You will spend most of your time in the field leading crews and subcontractors, coordinating work activities, resolving issues in real time, and ensuring safety, compliance, productivity, and cost control. Conditions may be fast‑changing, and decisions made in the field directly impact project outcomes.
Schedules can be demanding during active response periods, including weekends and consecutive workdays. This role is well‑suited for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments, take ownership of results, and are motivated by restoring communities after disasters.
This position is not ideal for those seeking predictable schedules, limited travel, or primarily office‑based work.
