Webcor Construction, LP is seeking a Superintendent in San Diego, CA, to lead site safety and field operations for construction projects. The role demands strong leadership, a comprehensive knowledge of site operations, and coordination with subcontractors to ensure timely project completion within budget.

The Superintendent is responsible for promoting and ensuring site safety and possesses a comprehensive knowledge for the day-to‑day field operations for their assigned project(s) including planning, coordinating, sequencing work, procurement of materials, and supervising subcontractors and vendors to ensure the work is completed on time, within budget, while adhering to Webcor’s quality standards and client satisfaction.
Enforces safety and site cleanliness on the job site and implements, enforces, and effectively manages Webcor’s safety policy and procedures. Manages the day-to‑day field operations of assigned project(s) including planning, coordinating, sequencing work, material procurement, and supervising subcontractors and vendors to ensure work is completed on time and within budget while adhering to Webcor’s high quality standards.
Effectively interfaces with clients, vendors, inspectors, subcontractors, project management and design teams. Leads, develops, and mentors team members, provides timely, regular feedback, and promotes a positive team culture and environment. Submits a comprehensive monthly schedule as the project requires, manages changes in schedule and scope, ensures that self‑perform LDRs are completed regularly, uses LDRs to project gains/losses, manages delay log in partnership with the Project Management team, and reviews the daily log.
Understands, comprehends, and follows project subcontracts. Determines vertical transportation requirements using knowledge of OSHA requirements. Evaluates all hoisting requirements for the job, sizes and places cranes accordingly. Manages month‑to‑month project site logistics. Monitors and enforces the QA/QC program and oversees execution of the Webcor Punch List Program, measuring quality and craftsmanship, ensuring required inspections are scheduled, coordinated, performed, tracked and closed out. Participates in design document development and trade coordination activities. Reviews cost reports and forecasts for general requirements along with the change‑order process and tracking.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Typically, eight years of increasingly responsible construction experience in a trade or trades, including at least two years as a foreman or four years as an assistant superintendent.
OSHA30 certification required (or any certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, such as STSC or CHST); CPR and First Aid/CPR/AED training completion required. If not already certified, Webcor will provide training. Self‑perform experience preferred. Bi‑lingual abilities a plus.
Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; sit, talk, hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Regularly works on‑site where exposure to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock is present. Noise levels are usually moderate to very loud.
Range of base pay is $142,000-$165,000. Actual pay is based on individual skill level and experience.
