Job summary

Rockwell Sterling seeks an experienced Project Superintendent to oversee field operations on water and wastewater construction projects in the greater Phoenix area. The role emphasizes ownership, safety, quality, and delivering projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Over 6 years of construction experience.
  • Experience overseeing field operations on water, wastewater, heavy civil, or related infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Strong scheduling, safety, quality control, and cost management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to relocate if required based on project needs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day field operations.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain project schedules.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, drawings, specifications, and project activities.
  • Establish and manage project budgets and control costs.
  • Identify causes of cost variances and implement corrective measures.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate quality standards to subcontractors and vendors.
  • Conduct regular quality control inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
  • Supervise field personnel and prepare daily timecards.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation.
  • Coordinate closely with project management and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage day‑to‑day field operations
  • Develop, manage, and maintain project schedules
  • Coordinate subcontractors, drawings, specifications, and project activities

  • Identify project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Communicate quality standards and expectations to subcontractors and vendors
  • Conduct regular quality control inspections
  • Ensure compliance with project safety requirements, OSHA standards, and applicable regulations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
  • Supervise field personnel and prepare daily timecards
  • Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation
  • Coordinate closely with project management and other project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
Qualifications
