Job summary

Greenrise Technologies seeks a General Superintendent who will work closely with the project manager, vice president, sales team, estimators, and office staff, and with multiple superintendents to ensure the site is ready for installation of erosion control measures such as silt fence and seeding.

Responsibilities

  • Check Toolboxes – verify 3 tools daily on a random truck.
  • Quality Control – review 3 projects for proper installation.
  • Upcoming Work – confirm readiness, plan, materials and equipment.
  • Paperwork – ensure proper completion and submission.
  • Teach – coach at least one superintendent daily for 2–3 hours on site.
  • Production – track daily output and address labor inefficiencies.
  • Values – uphold Core Values in all decisions.
  • Strategy – align decisions with company strategy.
  • Personnel – track labor needs and communicate with PM/HR.
  • Maintenance – ensure crews have equipment; coordinate repairs.

Job Summary

The Superintendent will work closely with the project manager, vice president, sales team, estimators, office staff, and especially with multiple superintendents of the company. The general superintendent will interface with client staff including foremen to confirm that the site is ready for installation of our erosion control measures (for example, installation of silt fence, seeding, etc.). The general superintendent is responsible for the work and conduct of the crews and crew leaders assigned to this individual.

Duties & Functions
  • Check Toolboxes – Check specifically 3 tools each day on a random truck to ensure they are accounted for.
  • Quality Control – Check at least 3 of the days’ projects for quality to ensure proper installation practices.
  • Upcoming Work – Confirm with superintendents that upcoming projects are ready, a plan of execution is laid out, a timeline for each job is established, all material is obtained, and the best possible equipment for the situation is used.
  • Paperwork – Ensure all paperwork is filled out properly and turned into the appropriate location.
  • Teach – Work with at least one superintendent a day for 2-3 hours on site to develop them in their processes, management technique, sales, and cost saving ideas.
  • Production – Track daily production to be sure daily minimums are met, correct labor heavy situations, hold team members accountable for ill decisions.
  • Values – Hold the company’s Core Values at heart and mind in all decisions.
  • Strategy – Compare all superintended and your own decisions against the company’s strategy chart.
  • Personnel – Accurately track labor needs, issues, wins, losses, and relay to project management/HR.
  • Maintenance – Always be sure the crews have the required equipment to perform daily tasks. Work closely with the maintenance department to down equipment as necessary and present creative solutions to foster quicker more efficient repairs.

  • Maintain and encourage good relationships with the crew/crew leaders and with the customer’s field staff.
  • Professionally represent the company as he or she interacts with customers, office and field staff.
  • Serve as an example to the crew leader and crew of integrity, ingenuity, and honesty.
  • Expected to NEVER ask anything of his or her crew and crew leaders that he or she is not willing to do themselves.
  • Always adhere to company safety guidelines and ensure that those whom he or she leads will also follow these guidelines.
