This role partners closely with Facilities Operations, Engineering, project teams, system owners, contractors, and trades to drive execution against safety, quality, cost, schedule, and operational reliability objectives, while reinforcing the Facilities 12 Rigors and acting as the direct on‑the‑ground blocking issue point when conditions threaten the approved plan.

Disclaimer

If you are open to learning from and being a valued member of a team of top‑tier engineers, we are eager to help build on your existing foundation and expand your individual and collaborative skills in this exciting and unique opportunity.

What’s Encouraged Daily
  • Provide daily field leadership across active construction, maintenance, tool‑install, and contractor workfronts in an operating semiconductor manufacturing environment.
  • Conduct daily job reviews and Facilities 12 Subject areas field walks to validate workfront readiness, procedural compliance, and system‑impact awareness.
  • Coordinate contractors, trades, Facilities Operations, system owners, and project managers to prevent conflicting system interventions and unplanned manufacturing impacts.
  • Serve as the immediate field customer concern path, stopping or holding work when conditions deviate from the approved plan or exceed available controls.
  • Verify SIPPs, isolations, and temporary conditions are accurate, complete, and properly restored before systems return to service.
  • Monitor contractor safety, quality, schedule, and performance; lead punch‑list closure, commissioning, turnover, and construction closeout.
  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons‑learned reviews, event investigations, and mentoring of team members and contractor personnel.
  • Use Micron‑approved AI tools to improve field reporting, planning, and knowledge retrieval, while critically validating outputs and retaining full accountability for decisions and work products.
How To Qualify
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five years of industrial construction experience, preferably in semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, pharmaceutical, data‑center, or another continuously operating technical environment.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple contractors and trades in congested, occupied, or operational facilities, working collaboratively with Facilities Operations, engineers, and project teams.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and operating procedures, with strong communication, analytical, and root‑cause problem‑solving skills.
  • Proven track record to manage challenging priorities, lead without direct authority, and exercise sound judgment to stop work when conditions are unsafe or non‑compliant.
What Sets You Apart
  • Technical education, construction‑management coursework, apprenticeship, trade qualification, or relevant degree.
  • Experience with critical utilities, electrical/mechanical systems, gas and chemical systems, cleanroom construction, tool installation, SIPP/LOTO processes, or semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications and ability to learn Micron construction, operational, and approved AI‑enabled tools.
  • Experience and/or interest in developing Agentic AI workflows into current or future processes, with the ability to critically evaluate AI‑assisted outputs and maintain accountability for resulting decisions.
