Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–10+ years of relevant construction experience, depending on position.
• Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, establish and maintain effective relationships with on-site staff and promote positive project morale.
• Thorough knowledge of owner contracts, subcontracts, drawings, specs, and addenda; assist the Project Manager with on-site procedures.
• Identify design deficiencies and potential code issues; alert Project Manager.
• Communicate issues, events, and progress daily to the Project Manager.
• Promptly report problems to Project Manager/Project Executive for cost-effective solutions.
• Establish relationships with clients and Bluewater team members.
• Request advice from Project Manager/Project Executive on materials, sequencing, scheduling and personnel.

Position Overview

The Superintendent plays a key role in the success of our projects by providing on-site leadership and direction to ensure construction activities are completed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications. This position requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a dedication to maintaining Bluewater’s high standards of quality and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, establish and maintain effective and harmonious working relationships with the on-site staff, and promote a positive project morale.
• Have a thorough and complete knowledge and understanding of the owner contract, subcontracts, contract drawings, specifications and addenda, and to assist the Project Manager in the development of the on-site procedures.
• Examine the contract drawings, specifications and addenda for design deficiencies, impractical details and possible code violations, and to bring these to the attention of the Project Manager.
• Communicate issues, events, performance and progress daily to the Project Manager.
• Report on any problems promptly to the Project Manager/Project Executive to facilitate the most cost-effective solutions.
• Establish effective working relationships with clients and Bluewater team members.
• Request advice and assistance from the Project Manager/Project Executive on matters pertaining to materials, sequencing, scheduling and personnel.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• [3–10] + years of relevant construction experience, depending on position.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office).
