Job summary

Flaherty & Collins Construction is seeking a Superintendent to lead on-site construction at our Indianapolis projects. You will manage daily site activities, coordinate teams, and ensure quality, safety, and schedule targets are met.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in construction management and 3+ years of project management experience with a multi-family builder, along with strong leadership and communication skills. Travel to project locations may be required.

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management is required.
• 3+ years of project management experience with a multi-family builder.
• Extensive experience in construction supervision/management.
• Familiar with construction scheduling software, tools, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all on-site construction activities to meet timelines and budgets.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
• Manage site safety and enforce regulatory compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality.
• Communicate updates to project managers, owners, and stakeholders; resolve concerns.
• Oversee subcontractors to ensure adherence to plans and contracts.
• Maintain daily logs, schedules, and project documentation.
• Identify process improvements to boost efficiency and outcomes.
• Foster a collaborative, respectful, and high-performing team environment.

As a Superintendent, you’ll take charge of daily site activities, coordinate teams, and ensure that every project meets our high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely progress.
• Manage site safety, ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering a safe work environment.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality, addressing any issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, owners, and other stakeholders, providing updates and resolving concerns.
• Oversee the work of subcontractors, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and contractual obligations.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, schedules, and reports.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and project outcomes.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and mutual respect.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field.
• You have 3+ years of successful Project Management experience with a multi-family builder.
• You have extensive experience in construction supervision or management, with a proven track record of successfully completing projects.
• You’re highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing complex schedules and priorities.
• You’re an effective leader and communicator who excels in building strong relationships with teams and stakeholders.
