Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily site operations coordinating all construction activities and supervising staff, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Manage project schedules, provide weekly look-ahead schedules, and track progress against milestones.
  • Monitor construction progress to ensure work aligns with plans, specs, quality, and schedule.
  • Review drawings, maintain as-built records, and track RFIs, submittals, and field changes.
  • Coordinate inspections and obtain necessary approvals from inspectors.
  • Resolve field issues with subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.

What the Job Looks Like (What You'll Do)

  • Lead Daily Site Operations: Coordinate all site construction activities and supervise staff, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Manage Project Schedules: Coordinate daily work activities, assist with the overall project schedule, and provide weekly three-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Monitor Construction Progress: Oversee the job site and ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, quality standards, and schedule.
  • Review Construction Documents: Review and redline drawings, maintain as-built drawings, and track RFIs, bulletins, field changes, and submittals.
  • Coordinate Inspections: Schedule required inspections and testing, communicate with inspectors, and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Resolve Field Issues: Identify and resolve issues with subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Track Materials & Documentation: Monitor long-lead materials, maintain detailed daily field reports, and document project progress with photographs.
  • Support Project Management: Assist the Project Manager with schedules, RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, project updates, and verification of completed work.
  • Ensure Safety & Quality: Enforce OSHA and company safety standards, maintain job-site security, and perform quality control inspections.
  • Complete Project Turnover: Supervise final punch-list completion and ensure projects are ready for timely turnover; travel as required.
