Job description

G&E Partners is exclusively supporting an established Heavy Civil Contractor as they continue to expand their Water/Wastewater operations across Colorado.

The business has built a strong reputation delivering complex water and wastewater infrastructure, with work spanning treatment plants, pumping systems, lift stations, water transmission and distribution, storage, collection systems, and utility rehabilitation.

This is a contractor that places significant responsibility in the hands of its field leadership. Superintendents are trusted to take ownership of the jobsite, lead field teams and subcontractors, and work closely with project management, owners, and design professionals to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

This opportunity is suited to a Superintendent who wants genuine ownership of field execution and the opportunity to play a key role in delivering technically complex Water/Wastewater projects.

Why this opportunity stands out:
  • Join an established Heavy Civil Contractor with a strong Water/Wastewater portfolio across Colorado, delivering projects ranging from $20M-$50M
  • Take full ownership of field execution, with direct authority over field staff, craft labor, subcontractors, manpower, equipment, and day-to-day operations
  • Work on technically complex infrastructure across treatment, pumping, transmission, distribution, collection, storage, and utility rehabilitation
  • Strong compensation package including $125K–$160K base salary + annual bonus, company vehicle, gas compensation, phone, 401(k), health insurance, PTO, and additional benefits
  • Opportunity to work alongside experienced project leadership while having a direct impact on schedule, productivity, safety, quality, and project outcomes
The Opportunity:

You'll lead the day-to-day field execution of Water/Wastewater projects from mobilization through completion, taking ownership of site operations and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

You'll manage field staff, self-perform craft labor, and subcontractors while coordinating closely with Project Management on critical project decisions. You'll also take ownership of manpower planning, equipment, productivity, look-ahead schedules, CPM schedules, subcontractor sequencing, quality control, documentation, and jobsite safety.

The role will involve construction across areas including treatment plants, process mechanical piping, equipment installation, pumping systems, lift stations, large-diameter transmission and distribution, collection systems, storage, stormwater, and utility rehabilitation.

What We're Looking For:
  • 5+ years of Water/Wastewater construction experience with strong field leadership responsibility
  • Proven experience managing or self-performing process mechanical piping, equipment installation, concrete, utilities, and related infrastructure
  • Background across water/wastewater treatment, pumping, lift stations, transmission and distribution, collection, storage, stormwater, or utility rehabilitation
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, scheduling, and construction logistics
  • OSHA-10/30 required; confined space and trenching/excavation competent-person credentials preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, plan-reading, scheduling, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

The business is continuing to invest in its Water/Wastewater capabilities across Colorado, making this an opportunity to take ownership of significant field operations while building your long-term career with an established Heavy Civil Contractor.
