Job summary

Palacios Marine & Industrial, Inc is seeking a Superintendent to oversee field operations at an active industrial site in Louisiana. The role ensures projects are safe, on schedule, and within budget, coordinating labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors while upholding quality and compliance.

You will lead field personnel, communicate expectations, and work with supervisors, engineers, inspectors, and clients to keep projects progressing and reporting clear.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Superintendent or similar construction leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, and safety practices.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to effectively coordinate across multiple teams and disciplines.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all field of operations. This role ensures that projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. The Superintendent coordinates labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Essential Job Functions:

• Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies, site requirements, and regulatory standards
• Plan, coordinate, and schedule daily work activities to meet project milestones and deadlines
• Monitor manpower, materials, and equipment to ensure proper allocation and productivity
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date job site documentation, reports, and records
• Assist with change order documentation, pricing support, and evaluating schedule impacts
• Coordinate closely with supervisors, engineers, inspectors, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain project progress
• Provide leadership and direction to field personnel, ensuring clear communication and expectations
• Participate in meetings both in-person and virtually?
• Utilize computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and communication

Work Environment:

• Primarily based in an active chemical plant or industrial job site
• Exposure to outdoor conditions, noise, and industrial hazards
• Must comply with all site-specific safety protocols and PPE requirements
