Job summary

LVI Associates seeks a hands-on Superintendent to oversee on-site delivery of commercial/industrial projects valued at $15M+. You will coordinate multiple trade partners, lead field teams, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence on a fully site-based program.

The role requires 4–8 years in site leadership, a construction-related degree, and OSHA 30 or equivalent. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4-8 years' experience delivering commercial or industrial projects valued at $15M+ in a Superintendent or similar role.
• OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification; additional site safety certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day coordination of trade partners and subcontractors to ensure safe, timely, high-quality delivery.
• Develop and communicate work plans, especially during field changes and scope revisions.
• Review contract documents and identify potential risks to minimize impacts.
• Participate in constructability reviews and assess change impacts.
• Ensure permits are obtained and maintained; lead on-site safety program.
• Build relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders; run site meetings.
• Maintain daily reports and project documentation; manage schedules and logistics.
• Mentor junior field staff and support their development; assist subcontractor buyouts.
• Oversee project financials, forecast costs, and monitor on-site operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day coordination of trade partners and subcontractors to ensure work is delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard
• Develop and communicate work plans, particularly when field changes occur
• Review contract documents and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks
• Participate in constructability reviews and assess change impacts
• Ensure all required permits are obtained and maintained
• Act as the primary safety lead on-site, driving a strong safety-first culture
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
• Lead regular site meetings and drive communication across the team
• Maintain accurate daily reporting and project documentation
• Develop, manage, and adjust project schedules, including contingency planning
• Oversee site logistics and ensure efficient coordination of labour and materials
• Monitor quality standards and implement corrective actions where required
• Support material procurement and workforce planning
• Mentor junior field staff and support their development
• Contribute to scope development and subcontractor buyout processes

Requirements

Experience & Education

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 4-8 years' experience delivering commercial or industrial projects valued at $15M+ in a Superintendent or similar site leadership role
• Relevant safety certifications (e.g. OSHA 30 or equivalent)
• Additional certifications in site safety or supervision are advantageous
