Centurion Selection in California seeks an experienced Multifamily Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations on large-scale multifamily projects from framing through turnover. You will coordinate subcontractors, ensure safety, and keep the schedule and quality standards on track.

Ideal candidate has 5+ years in multifamily construction with wood-frame experience, strong sequencing knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple crews.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of construction superintendent experience, preferably with a multifamily GC.
  • Strong experience with wood-frame multifamily construction.
  • Experience managing projects through framing, MEP rough-in, drywall, finishes, punch, and unit turnover.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and trade coordination.
  • Experience managing multiple subcontractors and crews simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
  • Strong understanding of multifamily building codes, inspections, and quality-control requirements.
  • Experience delivering projects on schedule while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of field operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily field operations for multifamily construction projects.
  • Supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure work is completed safely, correctly, and on schedule.
  • Oversee wood framing, structural work, and building envelope activities.
  • Coordinate and manage MEP rough-ins, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fire protection.
  • Ensure framing and rough-in activities are completed according to plans, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure all required inspections are completed prior to covering work.
  • Manage the transition from framing and rough-in through drywall, finishes, punch, and final turnover.
  • Conduct regular quality-control inspections and identify deficiencies before they impact the schedule.
  • Coordinate multiple trades working within individual units and common areas.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of unit status and track progress toward unit turnover.
  • Drive subcontractors to complete punch-list items and prepare units for final inspection and delivery.
  • Coordinate unit walks, punch, final inspections, and turnover to ownership/property management.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, and subcontractors to resolve field issues.
  • Review plans, specifications, and details to identify potential conflicts or constructability issues.
  • Participate in weekly subcontractor and project coordination meetings.
  • Maintain project schedules and communicate potential delays or issues to the project management team.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable building codes, safety requirements, and project specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite throughout construction.
  • Track material deliveries and ensure materials are available when needed to maintain production.
  • Assist with scheduling inspections, coordinating testing, and obtaining required approvals.
  • Provide daily field reports and updates on project progress.
