Job summary

TFE Properties, LLC is seeking an on-site Apartment Maintenance Superintendent for Boulevard at Brick in Brick, New Jersey. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated and adaptable to changing situations, able to perform all maintenance duties for residents. A valid driver license is required; basic computer skills are a plus.

This full-time role does not require living on-site but living nearby is necessary for emergency requests. Weekend work is required and schedules are flexible.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate knowledge of basic maintenance and repair skills, including electrical, plumbing, appliance and mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to use power tools, hand tools and other necessary equipment.
• Ability to work independently and possess willingness to learn.
• Superb customer service and effective oral skills, along with a positive and professional attitude.
• Ability to read, write and speak sufficiently to process and discuss work orders with our team.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, appliance and mechanical maintenance.
• Fulfill work orders in maintaining exterior and common areas (lighting, walkways, fitness centers, storage, parking, landscaping).
• Prepare units for move-in, including punch-out lists, painting, cleaning, and other necessary work.
• Cover after hours and emergency calls.
• Maintain a courteous attitude to tenants, potential tenants and vendors.

TFE Properties, LLC is recruiting for an On-site Apartment Maintenance Superintendent with prior experience for our Boulevard at Brick community located in Brick, New Jersey. The candidate must be well organized, self-motivated and adaptable to changing situations. Must be able to perform all types of maintenance duties for our residents. Valid driver license required, basic computer skills a plus. This position does not require applicant to live on-site, however, must live within proximity for emergency service requests. Full-time position that requires weekends and must be flexible with the work week.

Requirements

• Performing plumbing, electrical, appliance and mechanical maintenance.
• Fulfill work orders in maintaining the exterior and all common areas of the property (Lighting, walkways, fitness centers, storage, parking, landscaping, etc.)
• Prepare units for move-in, including but not limited to, punch-out lists, painting, cleaning, and any other necessary work.
• Must be able to cover after hours and emergency calls.
• Maintain a courteous and helpful attitude to tenants, potential tenants, and vendors.
• Respond to tenant’s requests in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Understand and work within the guidelines of all federal and state laws regarding Fair Housing and multi-family housing, OSHA, Workers Compensation, and Federal Wage and Hour Act.

Compensation and Benefits include:

• This position offers a starting rate that ranges from $25 to $30 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time (8 hours or more per day) to perform the following physical activities: bending, climbing step ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs., carrying, grasping, gripping, turning, reaching above shoulders, pushing and pulling, climbing stairs, stooping and squat kneel.
• Maintain accurate maintenance files and a well-organized workspace.
