About this position: Superintendent Location – Anchorage, AK

The Construction Superintendents’ role is to lead and manage any on‑site construction, overseeing all work activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, according to specifications, while maintaining a safe job site.

  • Collaborating with project managers to develop and execute project plans, budgets, and schedules
  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation
  • Supervise field crews (including subcontractors and onsite personnel)
  • Interpret and apply construction documents to include plans, specifications, contracts, shop drawings, submittals, and schedules
  • Monitor project progress to ensure compliance with contract requirements, plans, and specifications
  • Manage labor, materials, and equipment resources to maintain project schedules and control costs
  • Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining project quality and productivity
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of construction means, methods, and related trades
  • Operate basic construction equipment, including skid steers and loaders, as needed
  • Promote and enforce all company safety policies and procedures

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

  • Education Requirements: High School diploma or GED
  • Level of Experience Requirements: Must have 5 years+ experience leading and managing onsite construction work
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Ability to pass Fit for Duty physical test
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Perform physical tasks that require a full range of motion
  • Must be able to work 8 to 12-hour workdays, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends

DOT Covered/Safety‑Sensitive Role Requirements

  • This position does perform DOT “safety-sensitive” functions (as defined under 49 CFR Part 40) and is subject to all federal requirements related to Department of Transportation requirements for those performing, or on‑call to perform, “safety-sensitive” functions. Employees must provide a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC)

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and must also be able to obtain access to military installations.
