Responsibilities
General Summary

Provides administrative and clinical supervision within Addiction Psychiatry, fostering a culturally competent environment, and promoting a positive work culture aligned with I CARE values.

Essential Functions
Supervision
  • Supervises clinical staff, including onboarding and development.
  • Develops and monitors treatment goals for patients.
  • Ensures policy compliance and manages staffing decisions.
  • Provides clinical care, including assessments and therapy sessions.
  • Coordinates treatment plans, case management, and community interventions.
Program Monitoring and Reporting
  • Tracks patient census and service needs.
  • Maintains knowledge of local treatment resources.
  • Ensures staff competency and manages documentation and quality assurance activities.
Leadership and Staff Development
  • Represents the clinic in departmental and external meetings.
  • Participates in staff development, education, and community outreach.
Customer Satisfaction
  • Acts as a liaison for patient concerns and departmental communications.
  • Coordinates training and community engagement activities.
Other Duties
  • Performs toxicology screening and behavioral assessments.
Minimum Education & Experience
  • Master's degree in a related health or human services field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant clinical and supervisory experience, including substance use disorder treatment.
  • NYS Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) or equivalent required.
  • Additional training or certification in addiction counseling preferred.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently, think critically, and promote diversity and inclusion.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Credential in addiction-related specialty and CASAC certification required upon hire.
