Job summary

The YMCA of Dane County is seeking lifeguards for the Sun Prairie location to supervise the pool area and ensure a safe environment for members and guests. Under the Aquatics Director, you will respond to emergencies and uphold all YMCA safety policies.

Candidates should be at least 16 and hold current Red Cross Lifeguard/CPR/AED/First Aid certifications. Training is provided, and benefits include a free YMCA membership and certification fee reimbursement options.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Current Red Cross Lifeguard/CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
• Ability to communicate professionally with members, staff and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment by actively supervising the pool and guests.
• Respond promptly to emergencies following YMCA policies and procedures.
• Maintain surveillance of the pool area and enforce safety rules.
• Work scheduled shifts as part of the Aquatics Department team.
