General Function

The Assistant Manager II is a core member of the leadership team that drives Sunglass Hut's success. In partnership with the Store/Multi Store Manager, you oversee daily store functions including selling, coaching, merchandising, talent acquisition and retail excellence.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize all company tools to deliver the sales plan, develop associates, and achieve company objectives.
• Use reporting tools and business acumen to identify performance gaps and capitalize on successes.
• Provide ongoing coaching for associates, fostering growth and a motivating work environment.
• Acquire talent through networking, recruiting skills, and conducting interviews with the Store/Multi Store Manager.
• Seek opportunities for self-development as defined in an individual development plan.
• Spend the majority of time on the sales floor.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships, maximizing all company tools.
• Consistently execute brand standards.
• Maintain store merchandising standards, including updates or changes.
• Know product knowledge and use company learning tools to stay current on new fashion and performance products.
• Ensure execution of operational policies and procedures.
• Communicate brand strategy, promotions, contests, and incentives clearly to the team.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of store operation.
• Detail-oriented.
• Uses critical thinking to deliver absolute execution of operational components.

Preferred Qualifications

• Customer service and/or retail experience.
• Previous leadership experience of 1+ years.

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
