GENERAL FUNCTION

The Assistant Manager II is a key member of the leadership team at Sunglass Hut, working alongside the Store/Multi Store Manager to oversee daily store operations including sales, coaching, merchandising, talent acquisition, and retail excellence.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Use company tools to meet sales goals, develop staff, and achieve objectives.
  • Analyze performance data to identify gaps and capitalize on successes.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to support team growth and motivation.
  • Recruit talent through networking and interviews in collaboration with the Store/Multi Store Manager.
  • Engage in self-development activities as per individual development plans.
  • Spend significant time on the sales floor.
  • Build customer relationships using all available tools.
  • Consistently uphold brand standards.
  • Maintain store merchandising standards and update as needed.
  • Stay current on product knowledge through company learning tools.
  • Implement operational policies and procedures effectively.
  • Communicate brand strategies, promotions, contests, and incentives clearly to the team.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of retail experience
  • Expertise in store operations
  • Detail-oriented with critical thinking skills for execution
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Customer service or retail experience
  • Leadership experience of at least 1 year
