Goddard Riverside Community Center in Manhattan is seeking Youth Workers for the Beacon program, serving students from kindergarten through grade 8 and supporting Beacons in New York City public schools. The role emphasizes creating a positive, inclusive environment for youth.

The schedule runs from June 22, 2026 to August 14, 2026, 9:00am–12:00pm with one additional 5:00pm–6:00pm session on Fridays (4 hours per week). Compensation is $17 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Assist with a group of co-ed children (grades K-8) during daily activities.
• Facilitate reading enrichment, project-based learning, group games, and social-emotional activities.
• Support field trips and ensure a positive environment for social and intellectual development.
