Huntington Ingalls Industries’ Ingalls Shipbuilding division in Pascagoula, MS invites applicants for the 2027 College Summer Intern in Welding Engineering. The program offers exposure to welding engineering in a shipbuilding environment, with a 40-hour work week over 10 weeks, and requires enrollment in an engineering degree program with GPA 2.5 or higher.

Applicants must be at least 18, provide transcripts, and be able to pass background checks and drug screening.

Formación

• Be at least 18 years of age before the start of the summer intern program (Mid‑May).
• Be enrolled in a degreed program that supports the company’s business requirements. Typically in Engineering.
• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher (transcripts must be uploaded).
• Attend a college/university in the fall following the internship.
• Successfully complete a criminal background investigation, physical and a hair follicle drug screen.
• Work a 40-hour work week for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer.
• An adequate email address is required when applying, receiving communication, and obtaining employment offers.
