HDR invites students to join our Transportation Planning Internship in Fort Worth, TX for Summer 2027. You will work on real-world transportation projects and gain exposure to mentoring programs with company leaders while applying standard engineering techniques under supervision.

Join HDR during Summer 2027 for an internship in our Transportation Business Group focusing on Transportation Planning.

Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Transportation Planning Intern, we'll count on you to:

• Participate in real-world experience on exciting projects
• Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals' programs
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Basic knowledge of CADD (Open Roads Designer a plus)
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
• Preference given to local/regional candidates pursuing their Civil Engineering Degree during Summer 2027

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
