Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern to join our Meridian, ID team for the summer of 2027. As an intern, you will support transportation projects, assist in design, modeling, and data collection, and gain exposure to municipal and public agency work.

You will work under supervision to develop technical skills, learn industry software, and contribute to drawings, reports, and cost estimates while progressing toward a bachelor’s degree in civil or transportation engineering.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
• Familiarity with Bentley or Autodesk software like MicroStation/OpenRoads/AutoCAD is preferred.
• Strong organization, attention to detail and work ethic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support design and analysis of transportation infrastructure projects.
• Prepare drawings, reports, and specifications.
• Perform design modeling, calculations, and quantity take-offs.
• Assist in field data collection and site inspections.
• Obtain quotes from vendors and help develop construction cost estimates.
• Support permitting, regulatory compliance, and scheduling efforts.
• Review drawings for accuracy and standards compliance.
• Utilize engineering software and Office tools to support tasks.
